Today Andy, NaDell, Elizabeth, Olivia and Vincent came to Vancouver for the day. We went to McDonald's for lunch when they got here and then headed for the train stop to ride to the zoo. It was a lot of fun!!! All the kids were well behaved too, so that's an added plus!!! After the zoo, we came back to our house where Jes was home, out of school. We went to dinner at Burgerville and they are on their way home now. It was a great day!! Thanks for coming guys!!!

Our little boy... the cowboy
He doesn't wear the hat very often... as you'll see in a below picture.
I thought this one was pretty cute!!!
For Halloween we decided to just get him cowboy boots and a hat. Jes' Grandma bought him a cute cowboy shirt and so we have a cheap costume and he can wear it more often than 1 time.

Teething +Fever= NO SLEEP!
Last night around 3am, Jackson started crying... I went in to check on him and when I went to picked him up he was burning up!!! Of course this scared me because he has only had a fever one other time besides this. Luckily I have friends and siblings with their kids going through the exact same thing! Those molars are just kicking his fanny! haha He seems to be feeling a lot better today... just really tired!!!

My Birthday...
Yesterday was my 22nd birthday as most of you already knew. It was great!!! Jes took the day off and was planning on making me breakfast, but I got to impatient (as usual) so we went to McDonald's. Jackson didn't mind that though. After that we all just hung out at home. Jackson got a good morning nap and then after that we went grocery shopping which is something I truly enjoy. We went to Costco for a huge shopping trip and to Wal-Mart for a couple of things. Then about 5:30 I went and dropped Jackson off at my friend Angela's house for him to hang out there while we went out to dinner. We invited one of Jes' classmates from his Paramedic class, Dustin and his wife Kristin to go with us. We went to an Italian restaurant. It was pretty good. When I called Angela to let her know we were on our way to get Jackson, he just started SCREAMING!! I was like oh know, is everything okay? I think he heard my voice. He had a hard time... between it being later in the evening, molars coming in and not being left very often since we don't know too many people here, it was hard for him! I completely understand!!! He stayed up for 2 hours with Jes and I... we were starting to wonder when he was going to get tired. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, flowers, necklaces, gift cards and for all the phone calls!! Here's a picture of me with the necklace that my mom made for me. I could've had Dustin or Kristin take a picture of Jes and I... I completely forgot about my camera while we were out... it was in my purse.

summer is turning into fall so fast!!
So the other night I decided that I was going to do something different with my hair... I didn't want to lose the length or change the color, I just wanted something different, so I trimmed up my "side sweeps" and now they're more of bangs. Jes doesn't like them, but I do! I've got comments saying I look older, not just a girl babysitting all the time. I hate it when people think I'm babysitting Jackson... he's mine! I'm almost 22. I guess it's good to look younger, I'll appreciate it someday. =) Here's a picture:
Jes has decided that his job just isn't working out... he works completely off of commission and it's just getting to be way too much. He's applied for numerous hospitals around to be an ER Tech. So far, most of those jobs are swing shift, but anything is better than what he's doing. Some days he will drive more than 200 miles and still not sell. He gets 10 dollars per show and then the commission if he sells it. Normally his show takes about 2-3 hours so if he doesn't sell he makes sometimes like 3 dollars an hour. It's no good. We're hoping he finds something soon!!!
For my birthday, we're having my friend Angela from my Mommy Group watch Jackson. Jes and I are going to go out to dinner and Jackson can go and play with his little buddy Carston. I think they'll have fun! Carston is 13 months.
Jackson continues to learn new things everyday. He's so silly and so energetic!!! He loves to play outside. Since we have all bark in our back "yard" I call it our back bark, his legs are all scratched up because he like to move all the bark and play in the dirt. In order for me to make dinner or get anything done, I just leave the sliding door open and he lets himself in and out, bringing me rocks, bark and any other treasures he finds. It is sure entertaining!! The back is completely fenced in just in case you're wondering. I hope you all have a good week!!

Jackson doing a jig!
YAY I got it to work!!! I have tried uploading videos previously and it never worked. Ignore my voice in it cause I'm singing to Jackson, but he does the cutest little jig. It cracks me up! The little boy with him is Aiden. I watch him and his older brother Nolan 2 days a week. ENJOY!!

Just an update
I check this on a daily basis wondering... why don't other people update their blogs? Well, I guess if I update mine, others may follow. If not, that's okay too! There's a few people on my blog list that update a couple times a week and some that update once a month or so.
Summer is basically to an end and Fall has definitely begun!! This is a good time of year though... all the kids are back in school instead of roaming the streets and my birthday's coming up!!! I'll be 22 on the 18th! I can't believe how fast this year has gone. This time last year I had a 2 week old baby!! It's unbelievable!! He's growing up so fast and learning new things everyday!! As today is 9-11 I am remembering those that lost their lives and for the families. I am so thankful to have a beautiful and healthy family!!
The kids I "nanny" (It's more like babysitting now.) are going to start coming to our house. It will save 20 minutes twice a week for me of driving to and from their house. That adds up quick on the Jeep's gas tank. I think it will work out good though since we live across the street from the park and close to downtown. We'll see how it goes. I hope everyone has a good day!!!

Killed them already...
It's a sad day... Jes, Jackson and I went to Kelso for a little football get together, came home and Jackson's goldfish died!! The one was dead when we got home and the 2nd one is struggling. How in the world do you keep goldfish alive??

tired of being sick
Jes came down with pretty nasty cold on Friday morning and it's just progressively been getting worse and worse. He's still not completely feeling well. I was convinced I wouldn't get it, then I was up throwing up last night. NO FUN!!! So as I'm in the bathroom throwing up, crying of course, it upset Jackson, so poor Jes being sick and to help both of us. It makes us miss our family being so close!!! I'm feeling a lot better tonight!! Now we're just hoping Jackson doesn't get it. So far, so good! We decided that we had to get out of the house tonight, so we just took Jackson for a little walk to a school down the road to play. Since Jes and I were wearing our hats, we decided to get his Seahawks hat out and he kept it on the whole time!! I was impressed!!! I guess if Daddy and Mommy are wearing one, he will too!! He looks so cute in it!! Well, at this time last night we were all sound asleep, so I'm off to bed.

I don't know what to title this...
As of yesterday Jackson is 1 year and 1 week old! My baby is growing up!!! We've got all settled back at home, put all his toys away and put more toys together. The other day I put his trike together. He loves it!!! Although, same with his fire engine car, he'd rather push it! He'll learn. He continues to be a joy in our home.
The other night I decided to go and get him fish and a fish tank. He loves them!! He thinks they are just too funny!! It's the only pet I'll allow in the house. =]
Last night we were "rough housing" with him on our bed... jumping on it, and it BROKE!!! Beings as our bed frame is wood, it is fixable. It will just mean getting the time to fix it. So last night we blew up the air bed out in the living room and of course that got Jackson really excited... Needless to say, he wanted to sleep with us, so none of us slept well. Then Jes and I both woke up feeling sick. I think the combination of lack of sleep and business has something to do with it for both of us.
