We decided buying a real tree was just silly.. they get cut up north and sold down here weeks/months later, so having it stay alive would be hard!! We got this tree and decorated it. Isn't it purdy?? Jackson's in love!!! He was excited last year, but I think he understands even more this year. Next year we'll probably have a mobile little man to keep out of it, so I will enjoy this last year of hanging the glass balls low. Then in a year or two he'll learn like Jackson has to not touch.

Baking with Mommy!!!

Since we can't make it home for the holidays I've gotta brave all the baking and cooking by myself!! Most years my mom helps me make the dough for the rolls so I don't mess it up then I know how to do the rest... today I did it all by myself with only 1 phone call to her to make sure I was doing it right!!! YAY!!! I decided we would make half of it into cinnamon rolls.. so those will be yummy too!!! Jackson had a good time helping me roll them out. We're doing good.. trying to keep warm on our 50 degree nights.. haha

14 weeks pregnant

14 weeks pregnant today.. and feeling ohhhh so much better!!! YAY!!!

We turned in our application this morning on that house we're hoping to rent and will know by tomorrow if we've got it or not... keep your fingers crossed!!!

The house in Somerton that we were expecting to be moving into at the first of October didn't work out.. Long story short, the guy didn't hold up his end of the deal and we felt like we were being lied to. We didn't want to get into that mess, so we pulled out of the deal before signing a lease.

On a good note, we found a place!!! I've been in contact with the homeowners for about 2 weeks now and we got to see it today. (They've been doing repairs and getting it ready to be lived in again) Jes, Jackson and I went to look at it and fell in love with it.. it is more perfect that what we expected!!! 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a 2 car garage. It's in a beautiful neighborhood. Best of all, there's grass in the front and backyard... and the backyard is completely fenced in!!! YAY!! The homeowners are going to be paying water, garbage and lawn care, so we're getting a really good deal!! Here's some pictures for those of you that may or may not make it down to see us here.

Not so much of a bean anymore!

I had a doctors appointment this morning. In the past there was a sign on their door and all over their office saying that children 12 years and under were not allowed. This was difficult at times, but I have a friend here that told me the sign was taken down, I called to double check and it's true.. kids are allowed now!!! I was so excited to be able to take Jackson (and Jes, of course) . Jackson got to see the baby for himself and he thought that was neat. :) Everything with the baby is fine, I'm doing great.. I only gained 1 pound!!! YAY!!! We'll find out what we're having in about 4-5 weeks!!!

Good News!!!

Since we moved down to Arizona we've been working on one of the most fun tasks of being parents.. potty training.. We have now lived here for about 3 months and I can officially say he's potty trained!!! He stays dry thru naps, bedtime and all day and has for the past 5 days!! I'm so proud of him!!! It's also a huge relief, we won't have to buy diapers until baby #2 makes their appearance, still months away.

I'll probably update again tomorrow because I have a baby appointment!!! I can't wait!!! :)

I popped!!!

Some mornings I wake up thinking to myself... am I really pregnant?? Well, this morning it's as if I "popped" out!!! Maybe I don't look very big to some of you, but I feel like baby is poking out there. I'm 11 weeks 4 days pregnant today... almost into my 2nd trimester!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Jackson!!!!

Thanks to many family and friends we all went in together and got Jackson this Motorized Jeep. He loves it!!! He's now a member of the Jeep family!

Most of you also have Facebook and the ability to see all my pictures there, so I'll spare blogger of all our Sea World and San Diego Zoo adventures.. So I just posted my favorite so far from Jackson's big day!!

Oh and I'm 8 weeks pregnant today... only 32 weeks to go!!! haha

Baby #2

It looks kind of like sunglasses and the baby is right in the middle.. tiny, tiny!!!

Alright, so I was a little off.. okay a lot off.. I guess I shouldn't trust my last period.. Instead of being due February 16th it's more like April 9th.. I'm not 6 weeks 5 days. We're very excited to welcome baby #2!!! Jackson enjoyed seeing the ultrasound picture, I'm sure he doesn't quite understand where exactly the baby is, but he seemed to enjoy looking at it. I look forward to the upcoming weeks and feeling better!!!

Guess what?!

We got family pictures taken.. are you surprised!? I got a coupon while we still lived in WW for a free 16 by 20 picture at Sears, so we went and did it.. It wasn't hard to choose.. We only got the one picture.. I don't see the point of spending a fortune on pictures when they'll be an addition next year. Enjoy!!!
