Oregon Zoo

Well, this past weekend we had some more company finally!! Dominic, Cassie and Giovanni came on Friday evening, we had dinner... (I made chicken in Italian dressing, baked potatoes and fruit salad.) It was yummy!! We just hung out for the evening at home since they'd been in the car most the afternoon. On Saturday morning we went to the Oregon Zoo!! It was so much fun to take the boys!! We had a blast! Giovanni and Jackson seemed to enjoy it too! I enjoy having company. Although we don't have a very big place, it all works out. Jes' parents camp out back and some sleep in the living room on an air mattress. It all works out. This coming weekend Jes' parents and little sister Alyse and her boyfriend Dalton are coming. Then the next two weekends we're going to Walla Walla. It should be exciting!!! We're planning a trip to the Oregon Coast for my birthday. I think we'll leave on September 20th in the morning and stay until Monday morning. This year has gone by way too fast!! Does anyone else see that? Maybe it's just because I have a baby and they grow so fast and keep you way busy! Anyhow, I hope you all have a good day!!

Starting to enjoy doing these blogs more often...

I can't think of a ton of stuff to say in my blogs like my sister, so I'll have a bunch of short ones!! This morning, Jackson woke up soooo happy!! He usually wakes up this way, but this morning I think he was well rested and obviously missed me because Jes laid him next to me to wake me up and he was just giggling. Silly boy!! Then I decided I would try to get a picture of him with Jes' fake fire helmet on. He wouldn't quit taking it off before I could get the picture, but I finally got one and it's hilarious!!!! I can't wait to show his girl friends!! He's got such a sweet personality. He cracks me up and I love my little dude!!!

Enjoying my Saturday morning

I just thought I would update this thing again. It's actually quite a bit of fun to update and see others updates! I'm enjoying reading about what my brothers, sisters and their kids are up to. Jackson woke up Friday morning and was walking everywhere!! Since then, he walks way more than he crawls! It's so cute to watch him get around now. He's not as fast as some walkers, but I'm not complaining!! He's doing a good job and hasn't had a bad fall yet. I think he'll be a really good walker by his birthday party. That will be fun to not have to worry too much about him eating stuff out of the grass. We hope you all are doing well. HAPPY AUGUST!!

Still loving it here in Vancouver!!

We have lived here about a month and a half now and I've been back "home" twice. Jes, Jackson and I went over at the end of June for a reunion with Jes' family. Then this past week, Jackson and I headed over on the 21st and hung out in Walla Walla. It was nice to see lots of family!!! Jackson enjoyed playing with all of his cousins, but he hates the car... at least towards the end going both ways. That makes it pretty tricky when you're by yourself. It was well worth it, but I'm really glad to be home!! The next time we will be back is for Jackson's birthday party! I can't believe he's going to be 1 already!!! We got some Old Time Photos taken of Jackson recently. They're pretty cute!!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!!

Vancouver!!!

Well, we have now lived in Vancouver, Washington for almost a month! We love it!!! Everyone warned us about "all" the rain when we've hardly seen any!!! I think the weather is perfect, not too hot, not too cold!! We are lucky to live right across the street from a little park! It's called Leach Park... kind of weird I know, but it has a baby swing, so we're happy!!! Jackson has seemed to enjoy having his own room. Maybe it's more us!!! We're glad to have our own room back!!! Jackson has managed to find all the "no-no" spots. He knows where they all are and gets into them on a regular basis. We have a fireplace here and there's no screen covering the pit (our landlords are ordering one) and he tries to crawl into the pit! YUCK!!! I rearranged the front room and put the love seat right in front of it! Jackson will be 1 on August 28th! Time has just flown by!! He's standing alone and attempting at taking steps, so that's exciting!! His birthday party will be Saturday August 30th @ 4pm at Wildwood Park in Walla Walla. We hope you all can make it!! We're MOVING!!!

We got Jestin's letter of acceptance into the Vancouver Paramedic School Program. We're moving on Saturday June 14th!!! that's less than 3 weeks!!! We're very excited!!!

Vancouver

Jes has an interview and test for Paramedic School in early May... so we'll go up there and stay 2 nights and get familiar with the place. We've got an appointment to look at the apartment complex we'll probably live in. =] Jackson will be 8 months tomorrow!!! He's figured out how to sleep in his crib for almost all of the night. He only wakes up once for a bottle now, and hopefully shortly he won't even need that!!! Last Monday he weighed 20 pounds 2.5 ounces.
