Back to Walla Walla for the weekend...

Giovanni & Jackson playing on Saturday morning.

We went back "home" this past weekend for Jes to do some work. We got to see a couple of people and enjoyed our little visit. We went Friday evening and stayed with Dominic, Cassie and Giovanni in West Richland. Jackson loves his little buddy Giovanni. They had a good time together.

Janessa & Cassie saying goodbye... (it was early...)

After staying the night there... Saturday morning we went up to Mesa to visit my Dad's parents. His mom recently fractured her back and had cement injected into her back to hopefully ease the pain. They both seem to be doing well. They both hide pain very well!! I admire the both of them!! They are hard workers and have a lot of love for all of their family!!!
(I forgot to take pictures there!!! DARN!!!)

After Grandpa & Grandma Crowther's we went to Jes' Grandpa's house in Kennewick. (It was Great-Grandparents Day!!!) We had a nice visit with them as well. We had pizza for lunch. It was nice to see them as well.

Then onto Walla Walla... we went to Jackson's little buddy Parker's 1st birthday party and hung out there. We stayed with them while we were there. It is sure fun to have other kids so close in age to Jackson. Parker is only 8 days older!! He's taught Jackson just about everything he knows how to do!! Good and bad... ha ha Parker got some cool toys that they had a lot of fun playing with.
They pushed each other around in Parker's Police car... Nick watched them while Amanda and I ran to the store and I guess they even rolled it!!! Silly kids!!

Sunday we had breakfast with Nick, Amanda and Parker. It was yummy!!! We went to lunch at my parents house and hung out there for awhile. Jackson even had a little nap while we were there!! YAY!!! When traveling it's so hard to get all of those naps in!! Thanks for such a yummy lunch mom! We had dinner with Jes' parents and all the family.

Monday we went home and boy was it nice to finally hit the road. Just to think we're going back again this weekend for Jackson's birthday party. It should be a lot of fun though!! Jackson slept for 5 hours in the car on Monday!!! He fell asleep before we even left town.

So sleepy!!! Long weekend for him too!
When we got home he was happy to help us unpack, probably because he loves his rolling fire truck suitcase!! He got in it, so I took him for a little ride.

I hope I didn't bore you all too much... see you next weekend!!! =]

Welcome Rainy Season!!

I think Vancouver has officially started it's rainy season! I must say we're enjoying it so far. Ask me in a couple months though and I'll probably be tired of it. When it rains, it's perfect, not too hot and not too cold. Yesterday I "interviewed" for a nanny job. It wasn't that difficult. I went to their house and they were like, "Can you start Thursday?" I'm excited to be able to work while having Jackson with me. Kevin and Jamie have 2 little boys. Nolan is 3 and Aiden is 1. They played a lot yesterday morning with Jackson while I was there and they all seem to get along very well. I'll only be watching them on Thursday's and Saturday's. It's still nice to have something to contribute to our budget. Along with the good news, comes the bad... it will be more difficult to come home on weekends since I'll be watching the boys on Saturday's. Both of their grandparents live here in town, so with ample notice, I can get a Saturday off if need be. We're planning a trip to the coast in September for my birthday! Jes' parents are going as well and going to rent some sort of beach house or condo. I'm excited for the shopping as well! I hope you all have a good day!

Record Highs in Vancouver

This afternoon we were in the car driving and on the temperature deal it said it was 107 degrees!!! I think that may just be telling how hot it is in the car, not outside. Although, it was very hot today... and still is!!! When we got home I decided to get in Jackson's little kiddie pool with him. He had a blast!!! I put his slide in it and he enjoyed sliding into the water and getting splashed!! It's only 6:45pm and he's asleep already... I'm sure he won't sleep too long. Never know though with him getting worn out in the sun today!!

I was TAGGED!!

A Blast from the Past

20 years ago...I was 1... almost 2, so probably the biggest brat ever! Those terrible 2's I gave my parents will catch up with me shortly!!! My parents drove a huge 10 passenger van! We lived in Umatilla, Oregon at 19 Martin Drive.

So Innocent!!

10 years ago...I was 11 almost 12. Once again, probably a big brat, I'm sure this will catch up with me. DARN!! I was just about to shave my legs for the first time ever. That's an exciting time when you're 12. I remember this so well because of the pictures my mom has of it. HA HA My parents drove a Red Ford Aerostar at that time I believe. We lived at 141 Reinken Blvd in Burbank, Washington.

ha ha I was a nerd!

5 years ago...I was 16...almost 17. I was still the biggest brat ever I'm sure... just ask my mom. I loved Stake Dances and BOYS!!! I had a lot of boyfriends that never lasted, but that's the fun of it. I was starting to drive... and starting to CRASH! I was nicknamed "Crash-Nessa" which I hated!!! When I drove, I usually drove the S10 which I wrecked or the Isuzu I-Mark We still lived in Burbank.

Glamor Shots!!

3 years ago...I was 18... almost 19. We had already moved to Walla Walla, Washington. Jes and I were almost married at this point. I'm sure I was doing wedding dress shopping and doing all the things you do before you get married. I drove a 1993 Mercury Sable. Jes drove is Big Jeep CJ 7. Jes worked at the Ice Berg and I worked at Applebee's. We were living in Walla Walla in Jes' Grandma Joanie's old house.

Me & Jes... sorry it's fuzzy!!!

1 year ago...I was 20... almost 21. I was usually cranky, and 38 weeks pregnant. It was hot, I was ready to have my little guy!! I spent most of my days in the pool floating around to relax and kill time... waiting and waiting! At this point I was probably even going into the hospital every other day. Jes and I went for nightly walks and I always had to slow down a bunch to endure Braxton Hicks Contractions. I believe some of those were actual contractions though. We still drove our 2000 Red Jeep Cherokee Sport. We lived in Jes' parents basement in Walla Walla on Frankland Street.

Sleeping... the best hobby!!

Yesterday... I cleaned the house and hung out with the little dude. We also had a nice trip to the Emergency Room due to Jackson falling and hitting his face on the bottom of the computer chair. He hit it right next to his left eye and it was pretty bad, but of course by the time he was seen it quit bleeding and he was calmed down. We're glad he was okay! We now live in Vancouver, Washington on E. 28th Street and we still have the Jeep and now a 2007 Chevy Malibu.

My little dude at the hospital.

Thanks Mom for getting the first 3 pictures together for me!!

Emergency Room Visit

Well we just got back from the ER. Jackson fell at the bottom of the computer chair and cut next to his eye. It was bleeding and swelled up pretty bad, so it scared me. Anyways, he's doing good!! I guess it just scared me pretty bad!

Oregon Zoo

Well, this past weekend we had some more company finally!! Dominic, Cassie and Giovanni came on Friday evening, we had dinner... (I made chicken in Italian dressing, baked potatoes and fruit salad.) It was yummy!! We just hung out for the evening at home since they'd been in the car most the afternoon. On Saturday morning we went to the Oregon Zoo!! It was so much fun to take the boys!! We had a blast! Giovanni and Jackson seemed to enjoy it too! I enjoy having company. Although we don't have a very big place, it all works out. Jes' parents camp out back and some sleep in the living room on an air mattress. It all works out. This coming weekend Jes' parents and little sister Alyse and her boyfriend Dalton are coming. Then the next two weekends we're going to Walla Walla. It should be exciting!!! We're planning a trip to the Oregon Coast for my birthday. I think we'll leave on September 20th in the morning and stay until Monday morning. This year has gone by way too fast!! Does anyone else see that? Maybe it's just because I have a baby and they grow so fast and keep you way busy! Anyhow, I hope you all have a good day!!
