My 100th post + some =)

As most of you know Picture People hasn't been giving me the hours and happiness I need in a job, so I've been out looking. I had an interview on Wednesday at Winco and they said they would call me back Thursday to let me know what they were going to do after they interviewed 3 others. This morning (Friday) I was up getting ready for work and got a call from them at 9:30 am. She asked if I could come in this morning for a follow-up interview. I looked at the clock and said I could be there at 10. Then I looked in the mirror at myself... my hair was soaked from the shower and I had no make-up on. I was going to have to get ready really fast!!! Believe it or not... I was out the door at 9:40 with my hair blow dried and somewhat flat ironed and make-up on. I got there by about 9:55 after walking in and getting upstairs and Penney knowing I had to be to work at 10:30 had me take a seat, told me Paulette wanted to offer me the position and to initial these papers. Then she handed me a "drug test bag" and directions to the Dr's office to get it at and sent me on my way. I got to the Dr's office about 10:10 and did the drug test then headed off {QUICKLY} to work. I literally got to work at 10:30 and my manager was dialing my number making sure I was coming as I walked in. I worked my 10:30-4 shift and actually got off at 3:30. I got home and soon after got another call from Penney and Winco. She had already gotten my results back {negative for everything of course for all you wondering} and they want me to start on Tuesday. I already have a total of 24 hours scheduled next week. I'm going to be making nearly a dollar more an hour and have about double the hours. It's a 12-8:30am shift. It will definitely be hard to get used to, but I'll be making good money and hopefully get used to it quickly. Truthfully I enjoyed the Picture People... just not the drama that went along with it. I'm excited for the change!

Speaking of change... Jes is {finally} done with his clinicals and is moving on and starting his Paramedic Internship. He will be interning with Clark County American Medical Response. There's a rotation that he will follow and the shifts are from 10am-10pm. Just 12 hours and not overnight, so we're happy about that. In just a few short months Jes will have his Paramedic Degree looking for work.

Jackson is doing well. Growing up faster and faster everyday it seems. I can't believe he will be 2 in August! It's unbelievable! His vocabulary is growing a lot and he keeps busy playing with his cars. His favorite movie is "Cars". He's a good kid for the most part and he will eat just about anything we put in front of him. I'm happy to have a good eater!

3 years!!!

3 years ago today I married the my High School sweetheart. I love him more and more everyday!!! Here's a look back at our special day. ENJOY!!!

We enjoyed Brant, Tina, Christopher and Caleb coming to visit. We bbq'd chicken wings and had pasta salad. The boys played well in the backyard with each other. We also went over the park of course and played for a little bit.

Portland Trail Blazer's Fan

I've been taking so many last minute pictures for Father's Day this week and thought of the cutest picture!!! After I got off work this afternoon I got the exact shot I was hoping for!!! Jes has been hinting that he has a desk at work now, so I think this will be perfect... especially since he works right down the road from where the Portland Trail Blazer's play!!!



Happy Father's Day to all you Daddy's... especially my own!!! He is such a great guy!! Always full of love and support. I don't know what I would do without my dad. Keep up the good work dad!

What a beautiful morning!

I'm sitting here past 8:30am almost completely ready for work, which I don't have to leave for a little over an hour and I've already eaten breakfast, cleaned up the house and did the dishes and Jackson's still asleep!! I'm loving it!! This way when he wakes up I'll be able to spend some QUALITY time with him before dropping him off at the babysitters. Luckily Jes gets off at 2 today so he'll only be there from 10-2:30ish. Too bad I don't get off until 4. That's the hottest time of the day though and I re-filled his pool last night, so maybe we'll BBQ when I get home. I'll end with sharing some photos of the past couple of days. BTW.. no more mice!!! =) I'm happy too!! haha!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

It rained for the first time yesterday in a week or more, so I decked Jackson out in his fire rainboots, raincoat and flashing firetruck shirt and pants.

We have been so busy lately!!! When I say we I guess I really mainly mean Jes! He is such a hard worker!!! Yet, he still finds time to spend with Jackson and I and I love that!

Yesterday I was sitting here at the computer and out of the corner of my eye saw something fuzzy.. yah.. eww! I pulled the couch out and saw a little mouse run into the closet. YUCK! I called my mom squealing!! Not that she could do anything for me.. Jackson and I promply got our shoes on and ran to the grocery store attempting to kill an hour before Jes got home from work. We grabbed some mouse traps and when Jes got home he set them. We figured since I saw it by the computer desk we'd put one under it. There's a shelf and it's about 1 1/2 inches off the ground so we figured Jackson wouldn't bother it... Well, he did! Literally 2 minutes after Jes set it. We felt horrible, but it didn't get him as bad as it got the mouse otherwise he'd probably have a broken thumb! Poor guy! So we went to bed about 10:30 and right as I was dozing off I heard SNAP!! I got so excited and Jes was like, wanna go with me!? I know it's sick, but I wanted to see it. haha

The last couple of days we've been hanging out with our new found friends. I helped her at Picture People and then added her on myspace and have been talking to her. Her name is Ashley and her boyfriend Billy. They have a little girl Madison. Jackson and her get along pretty well. I'll add some pictures of them playing.

We had a yummy stir fry dinner and decided we should go for a walk since it's such a beautiful night. We went downtown vancouver by the bridge and river and walked. Jackson enjoyed it and is now just about ready for bed and it's not even 8 yet. Hope you all have a nice evening!!!
