Jacob's 1st haircut!!

Jacob's curls are so cute, but becoming unruly so I gave him a haircut!! He looks instantly older now :(

Not quite my plans for this morning...

Jackson had a kiwi right before bed last night and kind of complained of his mouth hurting. I somewhat questioned if he was having an allergic reaction, but figured it was just a ploy to not go to bed. Jes and I checked on him throughout the night and this morning he woke up with a swollen shut right eye and blotchy face!! Yikes!! I called Jes and he said to get him Benadryl so I ran next door to our neighbors and asked her if she would come sit with him while I ran quick. He wasn't feeling 100% and running to the store was the last thing he wanted to do. I gave him Benadryl at about 8:30 and then called the pediatrician just to make sure I didn't need to take him in. They suggested the ER and I'm glad I took him in. No more kiwis in our house!! Jacob kept calling for 'ack ack' from below the hospital bed.. He wanted to sit with him. It was too cute!! Hope you're all having a better may day than I am!! Haha

Things are coming together!!

Tomorrow marks 8 weeks of us living here in Colorado Springs. We are all adjusting and starting to really feel at home. Jes' supervisor, Greta has really reached out to the boys and I while Jes has been working. We've been going to church with her and her family. Her and her husband are both paramedics for Rural Metro and they have a little girl who will be 1 in a couple weeks. Jackson started going to Awana yesterday and really likes it!! I think it's good for him to be better prepared for Kindergarten. It's such a relief to finally feel like we belong here.

cRaZy DaY!!!

Holy cow it's been crazy.. it's been good then bad, then good... then bad again and now it's just good (I hope!!)

So... in December when we still lived in Yuma I had some dental work done... 3 crowns and a filling, yah ouch!! Well, it's still been bugging me and I've been in a lot of pain and getting frequent headaches. No fun!! Today I decided I have had enough and called a dentist here in the Springs and they got me in today!! After x-rays and examining they found out that one of my crowns has a large gap between the crown and the tooth, therefore letting in all sorts of bacteria and anything else I put in my mouth causing me to have these awesome headaches... Of course when I heard that I wasn't happy with my prior dentist, but happy with my new one since they finally figured out what was causing me so much pain. I went back to my Yuma dentist so many times for adjustments trying to figure out what was wrong and they never caught it.. RIDICULOUS!!! Anyhow... called my Yuma dentist when I got home and I told her what happened and asked what they were willing to do to help me since I obviously have to get it re-done. She informed me that the dentist was writing off what we owe them (almost $700!!) They want me to be happy and oh my goodness I am so happy about not having to pay them a dime more!! I get to go get my crown re-done next Thursday and then I should feel a million times better!! Yay!!

One little curl

Jacob has one little curl in the back of his hair and I think it's the cutest thing ever!! He's trying more and more everyday to walk full time and he's jut about got it :)

Easter

We decorated Easter eggs the other night. It was a lot of fun :) since blogging works from my phone I'll probably blog a lot more.. No promises tho!! :)

Jacob is 1!!

I'm attempting this on my phone.. Does it work? Jacob seemed to have a wonderful 1st birthday especially since his ear infection was gone by then. We enjoyed Jes' grandma and sisters visit!!
